The Ferryman, or Charon as he is also known, is a mythical figure that required payment in coin for people to be brought into the afterlife.  The Ferryman dates back to the ancient Greeks and it became traditional to bury the dead with coins so they could pay the Ferryman’s dues. Charon from the John Wick series of movies was based on this story which is why you had to pay in coin to reserve a room at The Continental.  Expertly struck by the award-winning CIT Mint in Liechtenstein out of three ounces of ultra-high relief silver.
